Professor Adrian Liston provided an expert comment to journalist Adele Waters for her article in the Daily Mail about the possibility that autoantibodies influence the severity of COVID-19 symptoms. He explains that the presence of autoantibodies is a plausible explanation. The article concludes: "Professor Liston predicts there will be a diagnostic tool for long Covid based on autoantibodies within the next six months and possibly a treatment based on autoantibodies for long Covid after that."
